RE: [HAPS-L] Future HAPS Annual Conferences

In response to a suggestion about having a conference in a certain city, Ken stated "I'd love to if we can find a local host." That's it in a nutshell! It's great for everyone to make suggestions about where they'd like to have future HAPS Annual Conferences - we all have our favourite destinations. But it won't happen unless someone in a specific city comes forward and says that she/he wants to coordinate a conference in her/his city. So how about it? You, YES - YOU, I'm looking right at YOU! :-) ,can do it! Just send me an email and we'll explore the possibility. I'm waiting for your email! :-) Izak (Chair of the HAPS Annual Conference Committee) P.S. Email me off-line at: ipaul@xxxxxxxxxx

I'd love to if we can find a local host. We've been to Toronto and Calgary, and I've visited Vancouver, but I'd love to have a conference in Halifax or Quebec City. Do we have any members there willing to host? (No objections to returning to Vancouver either, but we're talking eastern sites for now). I once suggested Montreal but was told that it was unlikely to find any members there who could host a conference.
