| Greetings, and welcome!
A little bit about me. My name is Fred Rose. I am a native Californian, having grown up in San Diego and living here until completing college. At that time I attended graduate school in Montana, obtaining my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I next moved to Boston where I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology, at which time my wife and new daughter moved to Atlanta to begin my career. After a few years we finally made it back to San Diego. I worked for 4 years at the Salk Institute as a staff scientist studying the genetic origins of brain development and cognition, using Williams syndrome as a model. In the fall of 2004 I took a full-time teaching position in the Psychology Department at Palomar College and maintain a private practice in Neuropsychology. Of course, I don't define myself by my job. As the header image suggests, I like to spend my time surfing, tinkering with computers, and spending time with my family. |
