Welcome to the Fall 2009 edition of Fundamentals
of Biology II at Palomar College!
This web page is for the Tuesday and Thursday evening sections,
which meet in room 324 of the Natural Sciences building (NS-324), from
5:00-9:20pm.
Biol201 is the second half of the two-semester
introduction for Biology majors. As described in the Palomar
College Catalog, it's "an examination of the diversity of life, as seen
in the Eubacteria, Archaea, and Eukarya, emphasizing the integration of
structure and function, development, life histories, phylogenetics,
animal behavior, and ecology." As a broad survey across biology
-- the study of living things -- Biol201 is an opportunity to study
organisms individually, as well as to observe their interactions with
and dependencies on their environment.
The PDF versions of the Lecture Outline,
Laboratory Manual and Study Guide for Biology 201 are available in the Blackboard site
for this course.
You will need the Randomization Laboratory Exercise
the first day. Refer to your syllabus to know which parts of
the lecture outline to print and have with you.
