Class Information

Fall 2009

This course introduces students to geographic information science and the practical implementation of Geographic Information Systems. Students will perform basic spatial analyses in this course. This is a required course in the GIS Certificate Program.  

 

Geography 120 Intro to GIS and GIS Software

This course offers students the opportunity to work with GIS professionals in order to gain practical GIS experience. This is a required course in the GIS Certificate Program.  

 

Geography 138 GIS Internship

This course examines the distribution of cultural characteristics around the world.  Some of the cultural traits that will be examined include languages, religions, ethnicity, and politics.

 

Geography 105 Introduction to Human Geography

 

This course examines the earth's landscapes, weather patterns, water resources, and life forms. The interrelationships between human and nature will also be examined.
